The Sexualization Training tour continues in 2011 throughout Quebec. Training for groups is also being offered. Don’t wait, register now!
This year, the Leadership Department is adding a second day to its Sexualization training!
A total of three days of interactive and innovative training is available in French and in English to professionals working with youth in the field of education, in community organizations, and in the health and social services sector. You may register for one, two or three days of training according to your needs.
Day 1: Youth and Sexualization: Innovative Approaches to Intervention
Day 1 Content: presentation of the documentary film “Sexy Inc. Our Children Under Influence” and exploration of the concept of sexualization: its contexts, related social factors and consequences for children and youth.
Day 2: Gender and Sexualization: Praxis and Tools for Intervention
Day 2 Content: presentation of the documentary film « Staying Real – Teens Confront Sexual Stereotype », a theoretical examination of the concept of sexualization, and the exploration of intervention tools and facilitation techniques.
Day 3: Community Mobilization
Day 3 Content: this workshop is designed to bring together different institutional agents and individuals from the community, allowing them to explore and develop the strengths and expertise present in their milieu in order to develop a plan of action to counter the sexualization phenomenon.
