The YWCA Montreal belongs to the World YWCA family. Active in 120 countries across the globe, this organization unites more than 25 million women.

In Canada, the YWCA movement is the oldest and most important multi-service organization for women. With 32 member associations, the YWCA Canada offers Turning Point TM programs addressing personal safety, economic security and well-being, to a million women and girls in more than 400 districts and communities in nine provinces and one territory.

The YWCA Canada movement is the largest national provider of refuge for women, serving 25,000 women, children and teen girls, including 6,000 fleeing domestic violence each year. It is also the greatest source of literacy, life skills, employment and counselling programs in the country and the second largest provider of child care services.
