For many young people, their first romantic relationships can be marked by confusion, pressure, and unclear boundaries around consent. In response, we have created a new immersive virtual reality experience that addresses this critical issue by focusing on consent in romantic relationships and the prevention of violence.
Do You NO the Limit? 2 – In Relationships places participants at the centre of an unhealthy relationship through an immersive virtual reality experience. By making decisions in real time, participants are confronted with complex situations involving psychological abuse, sexual violence, controlling behaviours, and manipulation.
By experiencing how subtle behaviours can escalate and become normalized, participants develop the critical awareness and confidence to recognize and challenge unhealthy relationship dynamics, while building the foundation for healthy, respectful, and equitable relationships.
Participants will develop:
- A stronger ability to recognize psychological abuse and sexual violence.
- Greater empathy toward people who have experienced violence.
- Improved skills to communicate and respect personal boundaries.
- A greater capacity to challenge harmful social norms and foster healthy relationships.
- Increased awareness of support services and resources for themselves or others.
A Virtual Reality Experience 2.0
- A focus on boundaries and consent in romantic relationships.
- The ability to choose both their gender identity and that of their partner, helping to better represent 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
- A trauma-informed design that promotes safety and accessibility.
- An interactive format featuring multiple pathways and possible outcomes.
