The Let’s start up program is an innovative program that provides concrete ways for women to develop their skills through training, indivual coaching and financial aid.

In this way, women are making a fresh start towards long-term financial independance, through entrepreneurship, post-secondary studies or a reintegration into the job market.

A PROGRAM BASED ON THREE ACTIONS

Encouragement

Breaking free from isolation and building selfesteem through group workshops, networking and being part of an inspiring community.

Training

Compensate for the lack of knowledge and skills through training and personalized coaching.

Support

Accessing financial aid for studies or microloans for entrepreneurship in situations when obtaining more traditional means of financing is not possible.

Financial independance

A PROGRAM DIVIDED INTO THREE PHASES

1.

Review of skillset

Length: 3 weeks

Participants undergo an evaluation process leading to a global assessment of their situation and an individualized action plan for the next phase of the process.

  • Analysis of the overall situation
  • Personal and professional assessment
  • Put into perspective the
  • possible and realistic avenues to consider
  • Writing the action plan
  • Psychometric test

This course contains :

  • 6 evalutions to be completed online
    (Web platform)
  • 2 individual meetings

2.

Implementation of the action plan

Length: 12 to 14 weeks

Participants solidify existing skills and learn new skills through training programs and individualized coaching. Participants choose the path that is aligned with their life project.

Entrepreneurial course

12 group workshops

A minimum of 20 hours of individual counseling

  • Realization of the idea and validation of the project viability
  • Individual coaching
  • Certified by Concordia University Continuing Education
  • Coaching by entrepreneurship experts

Post-secondary education course

  • Implementation of the action plan
  • Choosing a full-time postsecondary education program
  • Follow-up by an advisor each month

Return to work course

3 workshops

A minimum of 20 hours of individual counseling

  • Implementation of the action plan
  • Search for a professionnal goal that will lead to a long-term financial independance

3.

Support network toward success

  • Microloans up to $10,000 (entrepreneurial course).
  • Financial aid from $4,000 to $13,000/year depending on the number of dependent child (postsecondary education course).
  • Participants become part of the Let’s Start Up community, building a strong support network with other women.
  • The support continues through guidance and assistance from entrepreneurship experts in facing specific challenges and continuing education.

Who the program is for?

This program is designed for women aged 18 and over who are economically, socially or professionally vulnerable and who are ready to take action.
