Free Services for Montreal Women – Online or on site

Are you a woman looking for a job or a change in your career?

Take part in one of our three work integration programs in order to achieve your goals!

A team of professionals specialized in career counselling, training, employability, and psychosocial counselling will accompany and guide you in your journey back to work or school. 

Our programs are offered online or in person.

Orientation and Services for Employment (OSE)

For women searching for a job or reorienting their career:

Free in person and online services offered by an expert team of counselors

The OSE program is what you need! This program offers à la carte individual career counselling and job search assistance as well as workshops on job search techniques.

Women’s Work Integration Program (WWIP)

For women who have been away from the job market:

Free training workshops for unemployed women

Discover our Women’s Work Integration program, designed for women who want to make a career choice that corresponds to their interests. This intensive 19 weeks hybride training program (online and in classroom), includes a professional internship and helps women integrate into the workforce by offering them workshops in self-awareness, career-orientation, and job search techniques.

Fringues & Cie

fringues & cie formation rémunérée emploi

For women looking for training:

6 months of paid work in a school-boutique 1

The Fringues & Cie program offers women with limited or no work experience, a six-month semi-specialized training program in retail sales and customer service combined with real work experience at Fringues thrift-boutique, the YWCA Montreal school-boutique.
1 Program is offered in French only.

* The YWCA Montreal employability programs are financed by Services Québec. Eligibility to those programs are determined by the ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale criteria.

  • - Be unemployed or working / studying part-time
    - Be a resident of the Island of Montreal
    - Understand and express yourself in French or English
    - Be legally authorized to work in Quebec
    - Meet the eligibility criteria of the ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale
    (Other criteria may apply)

  • - Be a resident of the Island of Montreal
    - Understand and express yourself in French or English
    - Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or accepted refugee
    - Meet the eligibility criteria of the ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale
    (Other criteria may apply)

  • - Be an unemployed woman and between 18 and 60 years old;
    - Be a resident of the Island of Montreal;
    - Be able to understand and speak French;
    - Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or accepted refugee;
    - Be available to work 35 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, variable schedule;
    - Meet the eligibility criteria of the ministère du Travail, de l'Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale.
