Fringues thrift boutique is an initiative of YWCA Montreal, with a mission that goes well beyond simply selling clothes. In addition to offering affordable, stylish, quality clothing, the boutique plays an active role in supporting the organization’s services and programs.
Every purchase at Fringues directly supports the four main areas of action of YWCA Montreal:
Housing services, to help women rebuild their lives in safety through supported community housing;
Employability support, to help women reintegrate into the workforce and society;
Youth services, to prevent violence and inequality through workshops and educational tools;
Community engagement, to rebuild social ties and offer holistic support through services such as our legal clinic and mutual aid activities.
Founded in 1998 as a social and professional integration business, the boutique has maintained its solidarity-based DNA. To this day, it continues to embody the values of equity, respect, and autonomy upheld by YWCA Montreal.
