IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING Hotel Y Montreal and Auberge YWCA

The current pandemic has led us to make the painful decision to permanently close the Montreal Y Hotel and the Auberge YWCA.

Despite the possibility of legally reopening our facilities and the availability of government assistance measures, we cannot consider doing so. The recovery of the tourist industry will not be on the agenda anytime soon and our hotel and our auberge are social economy enterprises that do not have accumulated profits to absorb the shock of the prolonged closure.

All profits we generate are immediately invested in the mission and activities of the YWCA Montreal. We cannot afford to resume hotel activities that would result in a deficit, and the YWCA cannot keep them afloat without jeopardizing its primary mission.

A sincere thank you to everyone who has stayed with us over the years. Not only have you contributed to the vitality of our organization for many decades, but your patronage has allowed us to make a difference in the lives of thousands of women and girls.
