Is your CV appealing?

Your CV – your best ally in your job search

Having a CV is good, but having a compelling CV is even better. This will convince the recruiter to meet with you for a job interview. Hence the need to ask yourself this question: “Is my CV captivating?

Only a few seconds will be granted to reading over your CV. Therefore, it must be clear, concise, and demonstrate that you possess the profile sought by the employer. The information you choose to present must be truthful but also appealing.

Be strategic in your choice of CV!

There exist different models of CVs: chronological, functional, or by skill, only to name a few.

Remember that the goal is to showcase yourself and your skills. For example, a chronological resume may be appropriate for someone with a long-standing experience in a specific field, but it would not be suitable for a candidate with an irregular or erratic experience.

Put the odds in your favour: get some help!

It’s not always easy to choose the appropriate style of CV. If you are struggling, it would be a good idea to allow a professional guide you in the process of restructuring your CV.

Quality advice … without breaking the bank
