Peer-support group for immigrant women victims of violence

Are you an immigrant woman who is or has been a victim of domestic violence?

This winter, facilitators from the YWCA will offer a support group in an environment where you will feel safe, understood and accepted.

A safe and welcoming space where you can :

• Make connections
• Share experiences
• Break isolation
• Discuss common concerns
• Share resources
• Receive and provide assistance and support

Selection criteria

• Has an immigration background
• Has experienced or is experiencing violence
• Able to communicate in basic French OR English

Registration required before January 31, 2020*

*In order to foster a sense of cohesion, stability and security, no new registrations will be accepted once the group is formed.

Women are free to end their participation at any time. Participation or non-participation in the group will not affect the services received by an organization or other provider.
